Bridging AZERO to Aleph Zero EVM is now available
After a successful Testnet deployment, MOST—the native bridge of Aleph Zero—is now live on the Mainnet!
The wait is over—MOST, Aleph Zero’s native bridge, has officially launched on Mainnet, marking a key moment for the ecosystem. For the first time since the release of Aleph Zero EVM, users can now transfer AZERO seamlessly between Aleph Zero’s WASM Layer 1 (L1) and Aleph Zero EVM Layer 2 (L2). This isn’t just a technical upgrade—it’s the gateway to the future of Aleph Zero—unlocking the full potential of user-centric dApps powered by AZERO.
Why this matters
This Mainnet launch of MOST isn’t just another step forward—it’s an important step in a brand new chapter in the development of Aleph Zero.
With the ability to transfer AZERO to Aleph Zero EVM, we’re opening new doors to a whole range of fresh and exciting possibilities. Until now, the main use case on Aleph Zero EVM was VIB3S, which brought over 20,000 users to the EVM network in just one week. VIB3S uses account abstraction to offer seamless onboarding experience to web2 users. Now, for the first time, users can utilize AZERO directly within the EVM environment, which will bring all of Aleph Zero’s privacy-enhancing tech and capabilities to the next generation of decentralized applications.
Apps incoming
With AZERO now live on Aleph Zero EVM, Camelot DEX will be the first dApp to launch on the platform. This will offer users the ability to swap assets and earn farming rewards—and this is just the beginning. Expect to see more user-centric apps powered by AZERO launching soon.
At the same time, VIB3S is building on its initial success and expanding its footprint with new use cases and collaborations. The influx of new projects deploying on Aleph Zero EVM will not only strengthen the ecosystem but will also introduce fresh opportunities for both developers and users alike.
What MOST brings to the table
- Seamless transfers: AZERO can now move freely between Aleph Zero’s WASM L1 and EVM L2, allowing AZERO to fuel the next wave of private DeFi, NFT platforms, and more.
- User-centric apps: Until now, users had limited interaction with AZERO on the EVM side. With this bridge live on Mainnet, the ecosystem can now support apps that revolve around AZERO transactions and engagement.
- Growth ahead: The launch of Camelot DEX, along with new collaborations with VIB3S and a slew of upcoming projects, is settinging the stage for an explosive period of growth across the Aleph Zero ecosystem. The dApp landscape on Aleph Zero EVM is about to expand.
The activation of the MOST bridge on Mainnet means that Aleph Zero EVM is now truly ready to host a broad range of applications that use AZERO at their core. This upgrade is the foundation for significant adoption, as developers and users alike can now interact with a fully functional EVM ecosystem where AZERO will play a pivotal role.
How to get started
Here’s how you can start using MOST to transfer AZERO between L1 and L2:
- Go to common.fi/bridge
- Choose “Aleph Zero” as your source network and “Aleph Zero EVM” as your destination.
- Connect both your Aleph Zero wallet and your EVM-compatible wallet.
- Sign the transaction–and you’re done!
For the first few weeks, a transaction limit of 1,000 AZERO is in place as a security precaution, allowing the system to stabilize. This limit will be lifted after a few weeks of smooth operations.
Note: We have tested compatibility with the following EVM browser extension wallets: MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rabby, Rainbow, SubWallet, Coinbase Wallet. On some wallets, you may need to manually import the Aleph Zero EVM Testnet to the wallet before you can switch the network. The necessary RPC address and Chain ID can be found in the Aleph Zero documentation.
What’s next?
This is just the beginning of Aleph Zero EVM’s evolution. The launch of MOST on Mainnet is opening so many new doors for developers, dApp builders, and users.
Next stop: Expansion. Privacy. And more!
