Aleph Zero welcomes Deutsche Telekom—the first global enterprise to validate a privacy-enhanced blockchain

Nov 2, 2023

Aleph Zero has reached a new milestone as the first enterprise has been onboarded to the ecosystem. Learn what Deutsche Telekom’s participation in Aleph Zero means for the broader industry.

Today, Deutsche Telekom joined the network of validators of Aleph Zero, not only recognizing Aleph Zero’s potential but also choosing to actively participate in its operations.

This is the first time that such a large company has entered a privacy-enhanced blockchain ecosystem, becoming a living proof that Aleph Zero’s proposition is gaining interest in the enterprise world.

Past incidents such as hacks and security leaks have shown the importance of security, privacy, and decentralization on the web3. Against this context, our collaboration with Aleph Zero is very exciting. With new technical standards and a high level of decentralization, we are working together on the secure internet of values.

says Dirk Röder, Head of the Web3 Infrastructure & Solutions Team at Deutsche Telekom MMS.

Today, it’s not just about Deutsche Telekom acknowledging Aleph Zero, but it’s about the telecom giant establishing itself as a validator on both the Aleph Zero Mainnet and Testnet. With this, Deutsche Telekom MMS, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, is significantly contributing to the network’s security, governance, and decentralization. It underscores Aleph Zero’s unwavering commitment to on-chain privacy and its potential for enterprise-grade scalability.

Aleph Zero as the first privacy-enhanced blockchain validated by Deutsche Telekom

Aleph Zero now finds itself among esteemed web3 infrastructure peers like Ethereum, Polygon, Polkadot, Chainlink, MultiversX, and more, all of whom have earned the trust of leading brands. Deutsche Telekom’s involvement with Aleph Zero not only cements the blockchain network’s credibility but also represents a seismic shift in how large enterprises are perceiving and integrating with privacy-focused networks.

This is a recognition of the network’s ability to balance transparency with robust privacy options. We appreciate the trust Deutsche Telekom has placed in Aleph Zero and are optimistic about the collaboration’s future.

Diving deeper into what makes Aleph Zero stand out is its unique consensus protocol, AlephBFT, and its combination of zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-SNARKs) and secure Multi-Party Computation (sMPC). This technology enables users to prove computations without revealing confidential data and ensures that data stored off-chain remains secret even during computation.

Aleph Zero’s approach to balancing ZK-SNARKs for basic processes and using sMPC for highly specific tasks is truly innovative. Designed for individuals and enterprises of all sizes, it allows them to benefit from all the aspects of transparent blockchains while offering enhanced security and privacy over their holdings and operations.
