Integration with Coinfirm, partnership with the University of Nicosia, and winning The Best Infrastructure Project award were the highlights of May in Aleph Zero. Learn all that happened last month!

Aleph Zero featured on CoinGecko

Early May, CoinGecko covered Aleph Zero in an article and video formats published across all their social media channels. It introduced the project to new audiences, spreading brand awareness through educational campaigns.

Winning The Best Infrastructure Project award

The core team behind Aleph Zero was honored to receive the Best Infrastructure Project award at the Next Block Expo in Warsaw between the 24th and 25th of May. The other nominees were Mantle, BNB Chain, and Polygon.

Testnet 11.1 update and azero.dev update

Aleph Zero Testnet underwent an update to fix some minor bugs, as well as introduce new improvements towards the speed and stability of the network. Additionally, the Aleph Zero web wallet (azero.dev) has been updated to fix the front end of multi-sig operations and improve the UI.

Collaboration with the University of Nicosia

We announced a collaboration with the University of Nicosia. We will be working with the University on core and applied research, developing technology applications, and solving the broader challenges of the industry. The university’s Distributed Ledgers Research Centre will also run a validator node on the Aleph Zero network.

Coinfirm Integration

In the second half of May, Aleph Zero began its integration with Coinfirm to collaborate on advanced AML transaction monitoring and wallet screening capabilities. This integration means that Aleph Zero will be able to make use of Coinfirm’s advanced analytics tools to combat illicit activities such as money laundering and fraud while preserving the privacy of users.

Brushfam joins the EFP

Brushfam announced that they would be joining the Aleph Zero Ecosystem Funding Program. They will be providing audits and advisory of projects incubated within the program.

Explaining on-chain, private order book DEX design at NBX

During Next Block Expo, Adam Gągol spoke about the process of building an on-chain, private order book for decentralised value exchange. The speech was the first public talk about the technology behind Common!

Discussing digital identities at ToT Conference

Antoni Żółciak spoke at the Technology of Tomorrow conference in Warsaw about digital identity and how to navigate the new digital landscape safely.

Hosting a Shielder workshop at HackOnChain

Between the 26th and 28th of May in Warsaw, Piotr Moczurad presented a hands-on guide to using Shielder and dug into the practical aspects of writing Ink! smart contracts with OpenBrush. 

Supporting ETHDam Privacy and DeFi Hackathon

Aleph Zero took part in the hackathon at ETHDam between the 20th and 21st of May with a bounty for use cases in DeFi, privacy & tooling, and infrastructure. 

Supporting HackOnChain Hackathon

On the last weekend in May, the Aleph Zero team and our use-case teams joined the HackOnChain hackathon hosted in the WOO X office in Warsaw. Aleph Zero offered a bounty for hackers exploring privacy, while there were over 200 submissions to the hacking event.

SubWallet adds support for Nomination Pools

SubWallet recently added support for nomination pools. This means that users can now use the wallet interface to join nomination pools on the Aleph Zero network and view minimum active bond, estimated earnings & relevant validator information.

AZERO staking live on Talisman

Similarly, Talisman has also added staking functionality in its interface. Users can finally make a direct nomination or join a nomination pool from Talisman.
